Guarantee
When purchasing a dog
from Star Vision, you will be given, and required to sign, a
health guarantee. This protects you from any genetic defects
that appear within the first 24 months of the dogs life.
Below is the full health guarantee contract:
Purchaser is responsible for all veterinary bills after
pickup of pup.
In order to be covered by our two year guarantee (hips or
any genetic):
1. Dog must be owned by the original purchaser who signed
the agreement
2. Dog must not have whelped or sired a litter
3. Compensation is to have the puppy replaced, not a cash
refund
4. The color or size of the dog is not covered in this
guarantee
5. We reserve the right to request a second opinion at your
expense
In the event that a Star Vision dog is suspected of being
dysplastic, this is the procedure to be followed:
1. Notify us by phone immediately
2. You must have the hip x-ray performed by a veterinarian
who does not use anesthesia. If your vet will not perform
the x-rays without anesthesia, Star Vision will not accept the x-ray
3. Submit the x-ray to the Orthopedic Foundation of Animals
(OFA) for their judgment. The OFA will accept x-rays of dogs
6 months or older for hip evaluation, however, only dogs 24
months old or older with normal hips will be given a
certificate number
To qualify for the rest of the guarantee (any genetic
defect):
1. Notify us by phone or letter
2. A written and signed evaluation by the veterinarian must
be sent to Star Vision
3. Date expires: ________________________________
To qualify for a replacement:
1. The dog's registration certificate must be returned to
us, signing the ownership back to us, or a letter from the
veterinarian stating the dog has been spayed or neutered.
The entire purchase price of puppy, covered by this
guarantee, may be applied to a puppy from any of Star
Vision's litters of our choice.
